It is a great place to buy home baked goods, fresh produce, organic herbs, jewelry and clothing. It is also a place for live music, great food and a wonderful venue to make new friends or visit with old ones.
The Old Town Farmer’s Market-Tianguis Cultural reopened on November 7, 2015. It will run every Saturday, 9:30am to 2pm until April 30, 2016. The market is located in Lazaro Cárdenas Park on the south side of town just one block from Los Muertos beach.
About 30 vendors within 75 kilometers of Puerto Vallarta sell all kinds of goods including organic produce, apparel for the family, homemade dips and salsas, fresh cut flowers, coffee, breads, cheeses, chocolates, handcrafted jewelry, body products, refreshing beverages plus take home and freshly prepared foods.
The market reflects the diverse charm of its international home with both national and international vendors. It has become a model for diversity, entrepreneurship and community in Vallarta.
There is parking right below the market and it is wheelchair and stroller accessible. If you want baked goods, it is best to get there when the market opens because the vendors sell out of popular items like sour dough bread and cinnamon rolls.
