- Marina Vallarta
The Marina Vallarta the most upscale area in PV. Driving through you would notice the well-manicured neighborhoods, various lux-shopping options, great beach access and an 18-hole world-class golf course. This area attracts high-end visitors so it is a little bit more expensive to live here than other areas. There are many condominium communities, as well as housing developments and even private schools.
- Hotel Zone
The Hotel Zone is the most “touristy” neighborhood of all as it is home to some of the largest resorts. The biggest retail stores such as Wal-Mart and Sam’s Club is also in this area. Tourists love this area because there are four soft sand beaches to choice from; it has great nightlife and a great shopping selection. Plus it’s just about a 5-minute ride to downtown!
- El Centro
The El Centro is PV’s downtown area. This area is the most popular with foreigners and actually serves as the cities political and financial point. If you live in this neighborhood you would never be bored as there are endless amounts of activities and entertainment! Living in downtown you would not have to worry about owning a car as everything that you need is typically within walking distance!
- Old Town
The Old Town is also known as “Zona Romantica.” This area has a small town feel and is perfect for the creative heart. Walking down the street you would notice the cobblestone village streets that are filled with art galleries, bookstores, taco stands, and farmers markets. Even though the streets are small—it is one of the busiest parts of PV. The area has more shops, cafes, and bars than any other areas! Old Town also has a beautiful beach where locals and tourists can enjoy many water activities!
Mismaloya is the town that put Mexico on the map as a destination worth visiting after the movie; “The Night of the Iguana” was filmed there. Known for it’s small fisherman village; it is also has a gorgeous setting of soft sands, the sea, palm trees and the jungle. People love the beach because it has gentle water and the most beautiful colorful sea life! One can live a true life of relaxation in this neighborhood.
